Environment Commissioner, Hon. Major Emenike:   The True Face of 3R Administration in Onuimo LGA … Others Are Sycophants – Onuimo Indigenes

The impact of governance in Onuimo Local Government Area of Imo state in the area of infrastructural development, responsiveness over time has continued to fuel widespread support for the Commissioner for Environment, Hon. Major Emenike, whose developmental strides have earned him recognition as a leading face of the 3R administration.
Fact finding missions across ONUIMO and other communities in Onuimo, recorded that previously abandoned road networks have been fully reconstructed and rehabilitated under Hon Major Emenike’s leadership as indigenes and residents applaud him for coming to their age long rescue.
The people of the area however stressed that the Environment Commissioner, Hon. Emenike, has distinguished himself as a visible and results-driven representative of Imo government’s ideals, coming to the people when it matters most to them without much attention and attachments to himself.
The projects according to the people include critical interventions in Umuofeke, Eziama Okwe, and Alaocha Umuchek Okwe, where massive grading and gully erosion control projects have restored accessibility and improved daily life with  Roads such as Umuikpe in Umuchek Okwe and the popular Umukwuore–Umuduruegbeaka axis, once impassable, have now been brought back to life—reconnecting communities, easing transportation, and boosting local economic activities.
For many residents, these projects mark the first meaningful government intervention in years while indigenes recount how repeated appeals to local authorities yielded no results until the intervention of Hon. Emenike.
Stakeholders who commended him, equally have it that the 3R agenda anchored on rehabilitation, reconstruction, and recovery, demands more than ceremonial alignment; noted that it requires the exact dedication, strategic thinking, and consistent engagement with the grassroots, as roundly done by Hon. Emenike.
The people noted that  what sets him apart is not merely his position but his approach, as he has maintained a presence that goes beyond official duties, engaging communities directly and responding to pressing environmental concerns with practical solutions.
However, his prominence has also drawn comparisons. In contrast, some public office holders in ONUIMO L.G.A have been criticized for prioritizing praise over performance, in a manner that such tendencies risk diluting the core objectives of the administration, shifting focus away from service delivery to self-preservation.
But in Major Emenike, Onuimo People says “YES”.
