Imo West Norsemen Forum To Orlu Zone Leaders, Youths: Embrace Peace, Shun Politics Of Bitterness

As  INEC lifts ban on political  campaign come 28th of September,2022 , the lmo west norsemen forum, an organization that promotes peace , love, fairness and equity, has called  on the politicians from Imo west senatorial zone to shun political rascality and focus on issue based campaign. This is to avoid situations that will incite our youths towards violent activities that can impinge on a peaceful electioneering process

This decision was taken when the representatives of the leadership of the twelve (12) Local Governments held an emergency meeting geared towards ensuring enhanced peace prior to the general election.

 They reiterated their resolve to participate as ambassadors of peace, that will not sit on the fence, watching aimlessly while some political hoodlums and bandits destroy the peaceful coexistence of our people in the name of politics.

Furthermore, this noble association will work with all security and relevant government agencies to achieve this novel idea.

1) We shall deploy all our arsenal to work against  any politician that promotes  violence and engages in acts capable of truncating peace so far restored in Imo West.

2) We shall  work against vote buying, electoral manipulations and acts that may go contrary to the dictates of electoral act as amended.

3) Any form of violence, intimidation of INEC staff, electorates and candidates, will not be tolerated.4) In view of these, we have  volunteered to cooperate with the state security agencies and other relevant bodies  to  ensure that there will be Free, fair  and credible election come 2023.

One man One vote is the mantra.
