2023 Okigwe North Rep Seat: Obi Adim Drums Support For Chikwem Onuoha

2023 Okigwe North Rep Seat: Obi Adim Drums Support For Chikwem Onuoha

THE CHIKWEM I KNOW
By Amb Obi Adim
I will not sit and keep quiet when somebody’s personality and integrity is being dragged through the mud.
Hon Chikwem Onuoha might have made some mistakes in past but nobody is above mistakes.
My short experience with Hon Chikwem Onuoha is quite different from what is being portrayed.
*Pls note I am bipartisan and not in support of any candidate for the Federal House of Assembly seat. I just want to say the truth basesd on my personal experience with Hon Chikem Onuoha.
In 2010 I hosted Hon Chikwem Onuoha and Gov Ikedi Ohakim in South Africa. I complained that nobody from my village Umumbo Okwelle had gotten any elective position since the commencement of the 3rd republic. I informed them my cousin Hon Robertson Ekwebelem, a direct descendant of the warrior king “Duruemezuo” the first of Okwelle, who was based in London, wanted to come back and  run for the State House of Assembly seat to remove the shame from Umumbo.
They asked if he had the financial muscle to run the race till finish. I guaranteed that I will give my full financial support  for the project. Gov Ikedi Ohakim gave me his words, but told me Hon Chikwem Onuoha was in charge of all the structure In Onuimo. Hon Chikwem Onuoha also gave me his words and didn’t default, even when he was under immense pressure from the powers that be in Okigwe.
When I came back from South Africa, I visited Hon Chikem Onuoha’s country home with gifts of appreciation of an envelope containing $20,000, four cartons of Dom Perignon Champagne, four cartons of Hennessy XO Cognac to thank him for accepting to support our project. I was maniacally bewildered when Hon Chikwe Onuoha rejected my gifts and told me he doesn’t want anything from me, that he has already promised me he will support our project
Hon Chikwem Onuoha remained consistent in his support of our project from the victory in the primary election till the winning of the general election.
There  can only be one truth. Truth doesn’t have a perspective, a prospective or a side because come what may, the truth shall always prevail.
