IN ONE YEAR: KOMU DELIVERS TWO VC’s TO NIGERIAN VARSITIES …HAIL, PROF I. N. S. DOZIE!

By Bright OKEREKE
A songwriter, Johnson Oatman, Jr. had through his highly inspiring rendition, composed and written in 1897, admonished Christians to always “…Count their many blessings and name them one by one; And it will surprise you what the Lord hath done.”
Fanny Crosby, after analysing God’s goodness upon his life, he saw reasons to tell God in his song; “To God be the glory, great things He hath done”
Though, Kingsley Ozumba Mbadiwe University (KOMU) Ideato, is one of the youngest public universities in Nigeria yet ranks among the very few, fastest growing universities in the world. It is indeed, the Lords doing and marvellous in our eyes, (Psalm 118:23). The Lord has indeed, been exceeding gracious unto this university community.
Strategically, all the Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) thus far deployed are strongly pointing to same credible, amazing and resounding top success achievements.
And surprisingly, these feats are recorded in faces and back-to-back with the latest,  being more profound and marvellous than the previous. And each time it happens, the University community stands in awe yet excited and gratified.
But! Thumbs up, for the Vice Chancellor of this young but vibrant University, Professor Ikechukwu Nosike Simplicius Dozie, whose excellent dedication to service and passion for achievement have been orchestrating these  developments.
Very excitingly, the latest and most delightful of the feats, is the delivering of two (2) highly reputable and scholarly staff of K. O Mbadiwe University (KOMU) Ideato, to two (2) different Nigerian Universities’ for the institutions’ topmost jobs, (Office of the Vice Chancellor), within one (1) year.
Sincerely! “…,we are like dreamers, laughing, dancing, with songs on our lips”, when the LORD blessed KOMU. (Psalm 126:2-3)
Recall that, last year, precisely, Wednesday, March 7, 2024, the then Director of Partnerships, Collaborations and Advancement, K. O. Mbadiwe University Ideato; Professor Jacinta Opara, was appointed the second substantive and first female Vice Chancellor of Dominican University, Ibadan, Oyo State, Nigeria.
Jacinta Opara, is a Professor of Environmental Health, Ecology and Biodiversity. She had since then assumed duty with a record of impressive performance and distinguished service delivery.
Again, at about the same time and season this year; precisely  on February 6, 2025, the Federal Government of Nigeria, approved the appointment of Professor Aloysius Chijioke Onyeka, the Deputy Vice Chancellor (DVC), K.O. Mbadiwe University Ideato, as the Acting Vice Chancellor of the newly upgraded Alvan Ikoku Federal University of Education, Owerri.
Aloysius Chijioke Onyeka, is a Professor of Statistics and an Information & Communication Technology (ICT) expert with a sound history and track record of dignity in service. He has since February 10, 2025, assumed office as the Acting Vice Chancellor, Alvan Ikoku Federal University of Education,  Owerri and has hit the ground, running.
However, these two (2) scholars achieved this enviable heights of excellence and prominence through dignity, diligence and respect for constituted authorities.
To the Vice Chancellor, Kingsley  Ozumba (K.O.) Mbadiwe University Ideato, Professor Ikechukwu N. S. Dozie, under whose watch and administration, these ground breaking achievements are recorded.
There’s no doubt that the support of this great boss and visionary leader,  Prof.  I. N. S Dozie, ranging from encouragements, beautiful testimonials,  impressive referrals and superb recommendations to friendly and growth-oriented  administration and work environment, may have significantly contributed to these new attainments.
Professor Dozie’s esteemed and modest leadership style, has obviously impacted rightly and highly on the people’s academic,  character and leadership moulding. He is applaudable worthy of our celebrations for “when the righteous is on the throne, the people rejoice”; as the Proverbs said.
KOMU will indeed continue to excel.
