Celebrating An Accomplished Scholar and Vice  Chancellor: Prof. I. N. S Dozie@59

Professor Ikechukwu Nosike Simplicius Dozie, just as his name ‘Simplicius’ implies; is a simple and noble man; though, his brand is usually not excited by bogus lifestyles and very lofty celebrations. Yet, it is expedient to recognise and tag him with his hard-earned accomplishments, promotions and appellations.
Ikechukwu Nosike Simplicius Dozie, born 59 years, and from Amuzi, Ahiazu Mbaise Local Government Area of Imo State, Nigeria, is a Professor of Medical Microbiology & Parasitology, a Public Health Scientist and Community Health Specialist with 33 years, University teaching and administrating experience in various capacities with different Universities. He is a consultant with many international Organisations and Agencies.
He is the current Vice Chancellor of Kingsley Ozumba (K.O) Mbadiwe University, Ideato with records of numerous impressive and transformational academic and structural achievements.
His commitment to excellent, progressive and innovational service have inspired his generation of staff and students,  even contemporaries to diligence, improved service delivery  and better performances.
Yes! His vision nurtured and shaped our University into prominence and top-class ranking.
Professor Ikechukwu N. S. Dozie, is an administrator of trust and respect, a strategic scholar and constructive thinker whose abilities and competencies have dignified his courage to excellent service and laudable achievements.
At K. O. Mbadiwe University, both staff and students, even host communities enjoy his Camaraderie with passion.
He is one of the finest institutional leadership minds, leveraging his passion and focus around quality and impactful service to humanity.
At his core, is the keen interest in driving solutions, creating values and operating from well-defined ethos and and result-tageted value compass.
Among, Professor I.N.S. Dozie’s achievement milestones at Kingsley Ozumba Mbadiwe University (KOMU) include but not limited to the following;-
● Sustenance of stable academic calendar that makes for timely graduation, processing and release of results  transcripts and degree certificates upon graduation, timely mobilization of graduates for National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) programme as well as deployment of innovative technologies in teaching and learning.
● Securing successful FULL ACCREDITATION Status for seventeen (17) mature  programmes of the University from the National Universities Commission (NUC).
● Securing National Universities Commission (NUC) Resource Assessment Approval for eight (8) new programmes that have already commenced with the 2024/2025 academic session:- They are LL.B Law, MBBS Medicine & Surgery, B.NSc. Nursing Science,  B.MLS Medical Laboratory Science and B.Sc. in Public Health; Cyber Security; Environmental Sciences; and Information Technology.
● Graduation of three (3) Sets of students and subsequent mobilization for National Youth Service Corps with a set already passed out of the service year. And production of academic transcript for graduated students further studies or other purposes.
● Introduction, commencement, advancement  and Sustenance of K.O. Mbadiwe University Public Lecture Series in October 2023, with the 6th of KOMU Lecture Series held in November 2024.
● Procurement of four (4) nos fairly used vehicles for the Principal Officers of the University.
● Procurement of Tractor (FramTrack) for use on Agro-enviromental services.
● Establishment of a Liason Office at Owerri, production of University Annual Reports, Policy Documents and University quarterly NEWS Magazine (KOMU NEWS Digest).
● Establishment of A World-class ICT Academy in KOMU partnership with TD Africa and HUAWEI, in a bid to achieve the university’s mission of producing students  with cutting-edge technology education needed for the fast changing global society.
Firstly, we thank God Almighty, for His grace of this day and as well, the performing Governor of Imo State; His Excellency, Distinguished Sen. Hope Uzodimma CON, for great gift of Prof.  I. N. S. Dozie, to K. O. Mbadiwe University Ideato, as its pioneer Vice Chancellor.
We therefore celebrate him today, with profound  zest and conquering ovation while praying to keep His light shining brightly, even as the years top-up progressively.
