Alleged Anthrax Vaccination Funds Diversion:  Imolites Call For Sack Of  Commissioner For Livestock Development 

Some Concerned Imo People and some Staff of Ministry Of Livestock Development have called on the Executive Governor of Imo State, Senator Hope Uzodimma to sack the Commissioner For Livestock Development, Dr Anthony Mgbeahuruike over alleged Diversion of  funds meant for  Anthrax vaccination in the state.

Investigations by Starpost Express Newspaper revealed that there seems to be a Cold War going on in the Ministry  between the Commissioner and some Senior staff over how the funds for Anthrax vaccination was handled by the  Commissioner,  Dr Anthony Mgbeahuruike.

Starpost Express Newspaper reliably gathered  that some Senior staff in the ministry are not also  happy with some actions  being taken by the commissioner regarding the ongoing Anthrax vaccination programme in the state which is aimed at vaccinating animals against the spread of Anthrax in the state.

A sources in the ministry who strongly pleaded anonymity, accused Dr Mgbeahuruike of alleged mismanagement of funds and shady deals which affected the proper execution of  the Anthrax vaccination program in the State.

Some Senior staff of the Ministry are  said to be in loggerheads with the commissioner as he has also been accused of high-handedness and self centered in all his actions.

According to a  source in the ministry who also pleaded anonymity,  “what is happening in the ministry is an eyesore, we don’t even know why the Governor has refused to look critically into what is happening in our ministry, the commissioner is just here to siphon money and cause problem for the state government, very soon I believe his cup will be full”

“The purported Anthrax vaccination in Imo is a huge fraud, nothing was done. The Anthrax vaccination exercise is just a fluke and its objectives was never achieved. The poor management of the funds budgeted for the Anthrax vaccination affected the exercise seriously. The Governor should set up an independent Committee to look into how the Anthrax vaccination  funds was handled.”

In another development, some Concerned Imolites have also  called for immediate removal of Dr Anthony Mgbeahuruike following the domination of Imo State Markets by donkey meat.

The worried Imo State indigenes pointed out that the sales of Donkey Meat is now common in all the markets in Imo State with the Ministry Of Livestock Development being mute.

The concerned Imo State indigenes allegedly accused Dr Anthony Mgbeahuruike of not doing enough to checkmate the sales of Donkey Meat to the unsuspecting public in the state, adding that there maybe outbreak of disease Imo State if nothing is done urgently by the Governor.
