ADAORA ONYECHERE: OUR CELEBRITY AMAZON, MEDIA TOAST, A DAUGHTER AFTER THE HEART OF HER PEOPLE, OUR PRIDE.

  In a world where unique personalities are scarce, here comes a Celebrity Amazon and Media Toast, Adaora Onyechere, the quintessential Senior Special Assistant (SSA) on Information and Advocacy, during the regime of former Governor Emeka Ihedioha.

   Adaora Onyechere is highly admirable as she is humane but forthright and dogged, as she commands self confidence and dignity, with highly formidable determination to succeed in whatever she embarks on.

   Adaora Onyechere, an illustrious daughter of Okigwe Local Government Area of Imo State, born into the family of Chief Ike Onyechere MFR, of the Exam Ethics fame, has proved through to type a child of that famous family.

   She has a very strong character comparable to that of men and stands stoutly to be convinced in any stretch of argument. In other words, she can only succumb to a very serious position in any form of argument.

   When she was a member of the Cabinet in Imo State Government from 2019 to January, 2020, Adaora showed class in governance, as she was always at her best in all her public outings. Hence, she was the toast of the media, as she was in the news most of the time.

   Adaora Onyechere is compassionate, humane,   excessively accommodating and above all a highly celebrated giver. She, even after leaving Office at the Imo State Government, also continued to impact on the girl child, by financing fees of the West African Examinations Council (WAEC), for over 40 girls from her home Local Government Area, Okigwe, through her ‘Educate Her Project.’

      She never discriminated against journalists. To her, every journalist is important and should be treated with dignity. That was why all journalists in Imo State took her for a mother.

   Adaora Onyechere, the Executive Director of WEWE network AFRIQUE and Gender Strategy Advancement International and Yellow Jerrycan Save a Child – Lend a Hand Foundation, will  always be remembered both locally, nationally and internationally for her intellectual prowess and astute professionalism.        Her inert knack for excellence knows no bounds. She in other words is recognized for her dexterity in doing things both at home and abroad.

   One thing is to carve a niche for oneself, another is to maintain the tempo. Adaora Onyechere has not only kept her standard and taste in doing things but has constantly invoked quality maintenance and adequate sustainability in all she does.

    When the history of Imo State is written, Adaora Onyechere will not be forgotten in a hurry. The impact she made on individuals, groups and the Imo society as a whole, when she was in government in the state, is still felt all over till date.

   Imolites, especially Imo journalists, remember her in full scale nostalgia. She will always fit into all scheme of things in Imo State in and outside Government.   It is is time Imo State looks at the capacity of her women and begin to think of a women as fore runners to meditate and rebuild bridges burnt in the course of political wars, amongst political players in the state, over the years.

    The good people of  Imo State, are expecting Adaora to come and replicate the good things she is doing out there down home here. However, with her passion for Imo, her home state, there is no doubt that she might be planning to come home with one innovative project or another, anytime, any day.

   Adaora Onyechere is known for her magnanimity and humane disposition in relating with her fellows. The way and manner she showed compassion for whoever came her way when she was in government in Imo State, cannot be forgotten by Imolites. It is, therefore, the wish of Imo people that she returns one day to give it all for her people.

   Invariably, it is the wish of Imolites that given her strong will and strength of character, Adaora can serve Imo State in a higher position than she occupied in the past government of the state. Hence it is the unanimous wish of Imo people that Adaora, when compared with other strong willed women in Imo State like Professor Adaku Viola Onwuliri, Senator Christy Anyanwu and others, she can very well serve her people selfless just as she did when she was called upon, who knows if our political climes were more gender friendly in imo state and our leaders had more foresight for talent and capacity she could even make an excellent governor or deputy governor.

   She brought civility in appreciation for the various media hypes she got in the state. It is, therefore, just true that journalists in Imo State cannot forget the all night of appreciation which Adaora hosted her colleagues in  Owerri, to appreciate all they did for her, in 2019. It simply represented Adaora’s penchant for civility, which she tried to enact in Imo State and to make the Journalists to be in tune with modernity.

   Those who know Adaora Onyechere will testify to her goodness. Like McAnthony stated of Julius Caesar in that play put together by the legendary literary giant William Shakespeare, ‘when the poor hath cried, Caeser hath wept,’ Adaora cannot feel comfortable seeing her fellows in dare need of what to eat or in need of solving problems, without running to the one’s assistance.

   Those from Okigwe, Adaora’s home Local Government Area, can always testify to the fact that she is a true replica of her father and mother, who are very caring and compassionate. Those whom she has assisted, one way or the other, pray for her every day for higher and continuous glory.

    Adaora is blessed with the ability to recognize good talents and she doesn’t waste time to direct such a talent on the path of stardom. She believes that if she can excel in life, others can excel too. With this behind her mind, she goes on to assist anyone around her, whom she must have found out to be good enough to turn into a star.

    She is friendly to all. She has no ego trip. Rather,  she is down to earth with everyone. If you meet her with her aides and workers, you could almost take them to be equals.

    Adaora Onyechere is bright and open. She is never hidden wherever she may be. This is because she always excels in whatever she does. She can turn every situation at her disposal to brightness and make it look juicy to the admiration of all. She reads the tempo of all situations in order to know which side to definitely anchor with fairness in mind.

    In philanthropy, Adaora takes special interest in caring for the motherless babies, the old ones in society and the less privileged; especially the wretched of the earth. She can offer all in her possession to make sure that this category of persons in our society are well taken care of. The compassionate trip she made to the Owerri Correctional Center (Prisons) on behalf of the Imo State Government, as part of her duty coverage in office, to fraternize with the Prison inmates, was highly commendable

    Adaora was like a mother to all, especially to Imo journalists, when she was in government in Imo State. She advised journalists in the state passionately like a mother and preached togetherness and oneness amongst them. She never welcomed gossips but would rather advise those who gossiped to embrace those they gossiped about and reach common synergy amongst one another, especially the journalists. She also made herself available at all times to assist or advise anyone.

    Indeed, Adaora Onyechere even for those who are misguided or don’t know her much cannot fault her capacity in what she does, she is thorough and is resilient when dedicated to something and efficient, with the midas touch.
