Imo State NLC Election:  Chigaemezue Nwaigwe, Others Emerge Consensus Candidates

The election of State Administrative Council (SAC) of Nigeria Labour Congress in Imo State will hold today, Wednesday,10th of January,2024 at Imo State labour House.
Starpost Express Newspaper reliably gathered that all the factions in Imo State NLC have collapsed into one line up in order to achieve lasting peace, Unity and progress in Imo State.
According to reports, Comrade Chigaemezue Nwaigwe of Nigeria Civil Service Union  emerged the consensus Chairman of the two factions along side with other State officers drawn from other industrial Unions in the state which cut across the two factions.
Starpost Express Newspaper also gathered that twenty six industrial Unions out of 32 industrial Unions operating Imo State adopted and ratified the emergence of the eight Consensus Candidates that will manage the affairs of Imo State Nigeria Labour Congress in the next four years.
According to reports, the leaders of the two factions in Imo State NLC, Dr Philip Nwansi and Dr George Ofoegbu dropped their chairmanship ambition which led to the emergence of a neutral candidate acceptable to the two camps in the state, in the person of Comrade Chigaemezue Nwaigwe.
Following this healthy development in Imo State NLC, peace, Unity and brotherly love have returned to Imo State NLC for the collective interest of Imo State workers .
