Imo Pilgrims Hold Special intercessory Prayer For Peace At Church of Nativity

Imo State Pilgrims on Thursday, 4th of May, at the Church of Nativity in Bethlehem held a special Intercceosroy prayers for total restoration of peace, Security, progress and Unity in Imo state.
The collective prayer  session that lasted for seventy  minutes was conducted by selected Catholic, Anglican and Pentecostal Clergymen among the Pilgrims at the Centre of the Church and was presided by Rev Fr Gibbert Alaribe, Chaplin of Government House Chapel.
Using the birth site  of Jesus Christ as a place of contact, the team prayed for God’s intervention in all the challenges the present Shared Prosperity Government in Imo state is facing and charged God to sustain the current Government in Imo state
The pilgrims who were in sober moods,  prayed for God’s intervention to heal all the sick Imolites and total peace in all troubled areas in the State  and  For total return of peace, unity, security and progress in Imo state
The pilgrims who also prayed for  a better and fruitful Nigeria, however asked God  bless Governor Hope Uzodimma and grant him good health, courage and more wisdom to actualize all his people oriented projects,  programmes and policies in Imo State.
The Church of Nativity was built by Helena, mother of Emperor Constantine and  the site Jesus Christ was born. After the intercessory prayers at the Church of Nativity, the pilgrims moved over to St Jerome Chapel and to the Shepherd’s field where the Angels announced the birth of Jesus Christ to local Shepherds.
It will be recalled that,  Imo State Pilgrims with the help of their  Guards entered the promised land from the East, about 150km to the North from the place where children of Israel entered Canaan under Joshua’s Command . Passing through the valley of Jezreel  and  Gilboa Mountains where King Saul and his three sons were killed by Philippines.
Imo State Pilgrims climbed the Tabor Mount known as ‘place of Transfiguration of Christ’ .
They also visited the Church of St Joseph and the Church of Annunciation and proceed down to Cana of Galilee where Jesus Christ performed his first miracle at a wedding ceremony by turning water into wine.
The overwhelmed three hundred Imo State Pilgrims however visited the Sea of Galilee and Capernaum, the Biblical village in the upper Galilee region where Jesus Christ made his home during the years of his Ministry.
The pilgrims also visited the Church of multiplication of bread and Fish known as ‘ Tabgha’ where over 5000 people were fed by Jesus Christ, mount of Beatitudes believed to be the most beautiful place in the Holy land and a joyful cruise across the Sea of Galilee.
They  visited the Mount of olives, the best observation points overlooking Jerusalem and proceeded down the road where Jesus Christ entered the city as Messiah on Palm Sunday.
The pilgrims further visited the chapel of Peter Noster, Chapel of Dominus Flevit , Church of Agony, mount Zion, the last supper room, King David’s Tomb and the garden of Gethsemane where Jesus Christ was arrested.
