The Honorable Commissioner for Housing and Urban Development and Obowo APC Apex Leader has issued a matching instructions for the collapse of all political structures in Obowo in view of the forthcoming gubernatorial election.
The Political doyen gave this instruction at a mandatory Obowo APC Stakeholders meeting at her official residence in Owerri that saw to the assemblage of all the power brokers and political titans in Obowo LGA, including but not limited to house of Rep. member, former Local Government Chairmen of Obowo, former Commissioners, former appointees of present and past administrations, all Traditional Rulers, Presidents General, GLOs, Ward Campaign coordinators, CWO Executives, Wards, LGA and State Party Officers, Community Women Leaders and retinue of other leaders which was at the instance of the Honorable Commissioner.
The Two Term Commissioner, President of Okigwe Political Consultative Assembly (OKIPOCA) and Apex Leader of the Party in Obowo LGA declared a no-political-compromise in Obowo, noting that Obowo remains the greatest beneficiaries of the Sen Hope UZODINMA led administration in Okigwe Zone having had Speaker of the Assembly, two  commissioners, Head of Service, Permanent secretaries, highest number of Special Advisers, Senior special advisers and sensitive infrastructural revolutions within the Local Government more than any other Governor has done and it is only but expedient that the Governor is rewarded with a job well done.
Lady Ineh had invited the candidates of the YPP, Action Alliance, APGA and Campaign DG of the PDP for Imo  State House of Assembly election who publicly declared their supports with their respective followers and foot soldiers in the last election for Governor Hope UZODINMA’s re-election bid.
She further mandated all party leaders at various levels to welcome and receive persons from other political parties who are willing to join hands together in the delivery of the Governor in the forthcoming election.
She noted that the party’s performance in the last election was remarkable as delivery was made irrespective of oppositions during the elections but further opined that it is more than politically expedient for us to welcome those who were defeated by the APC in the last elections so as to deliver one hundred percent in November.
Speaking at the meeting, candidates for YPP and Action Alliance gave eloquent testimonies of their defeat by the APC in the last election, noting that APC, Rt. Hon. Kennedy Ibeh overwhelmingly won the House of Assembly election which they were actively involved in and as a result, they have decided to throw their weight behind the Apex Leader and the APC in ensuring that the last victory of the party is not only achieved but doubled.
Also present at the event was the former Commissioner for Agriculture, Chief Longers Anyanwu who congratulated the defectors for making the right choice. Chief Ebubedike further moved motions for the collapse of all structures in support of the Governor in Obowo and thereby calling for a vote of implicit confidence on the Governor which was unanimously passed as a collective resolve of all stakeholders in Obowo. He further moved a motion for a vote of confidence on the Apex Leader, Lady Love Ineh and the Sole Administrator, Hon Pius Uwaleme for driving the affairs of the Party very effectively and efficiently in Obowo. The motion equally received the nod of the stakeholders without a dissenting voice.
The meeting took another dimension the moment the people of Obowo charged the duo of Hon. Chike Okafor and the Former Speaker and Member for Obowo Constituency, Rt. Hon. Kennedy Ibeh to resolve their differences with immediate effect, while resolving the the combined forces of these two would yield in greater electoral delivery in the November 11 election. This was followed by a motion most eloquently moved by a distinguished leader of the party, Chief Longers Anyanwu in respect of which, many stakeholders made contributions, mandating a reconciliation.
Speaking, Hon. Dr. Chike Okafor gave strong assurances of his unwavering support for the Governor in the forthcoming election. He thanked the Obowo APC Apex Leader for calling for the meeting and further enjoined the people of Obowo to work hard to ensure success in the next election, while noting that the Governor has done for him what no Governor has done for him.
On his part, the Former Speaker and Honorable Member for Obowo, Rt. Hon. Barr. Kennedy IBEH who was unavoidably absent but spoke through his Chief of Staff, Hon. Barr. Kelechi Onyegbule expressed his eternal gratitude to Governor Hope UZODINMA who made promise to him of making him Speaker of Imo State House of Assembly and fulfilled the promise.
