Imo State indigenes living outside the Country have commended Governor Hope Uzodimma for creating Imo State Diaspora Estate in the Heart of Owerri.
Some Imo State indigenes who lived in United States America, United Arab Emirate and some part of Europe while reacting to land breaking ceremony of the four new Estates created by Shared Prosperity Government in Imo State, expressed profound gratitude to Governor Hope Uzodimma for considering Imo State indigenes living outside the Country and charged him to ensure it is exclusively for Diaspora people.
Most of them who reacted through their tweet handles urged Governor Hope Uzodimma to ensure he maintained and sustain transparency during the allocation of the land or building in the Estate, stressing that most of them have the interest to return home and invest .
Engr Chidi Okoro who resides in Dubai while reacting over the Diaspora Estate in Owerri, said, ” I must commend my Governor, Senator Hope Uzodimma for putting us into consideration in his Housing scheme. Some of us are willing to buy the land or finished building as the case maybe but we must be assured of transparency in the process. Personally, my assurance is that Governor Hope Uzodimma is not known for acquisition of landed property but he should ensure the right things are done.”
To Chief Sampson Udeh, a prominent   leader of Imo State Congress of America, ” The location of the Diaspora Estate is fine but it can’t accommodate more people. I must commend Governor Hope Uzodimma for such vision but it  should be in phases inorder to accommodate more People who are interested in the Diaspora Estate in Imo State.”
Chief Udeh however used the opportunity to appeal to Governor Hope Uzodimma to harness the potentials in Imo State indigenes living in USA, adding that they have alots to contribute to the development of Imo State if properly harnessed.
The Chairman of Mbieri Youth Association in Norway, Mazi Kelechi Ehirim while reacting through his tweet account noted, agreed with Chief Sampson Udeh in creating more phases, noting that more Imolites would be interested in Diaspora Estate if the Government makes the process clear and clean.
According to him, ” yes, this is a good news, ride on Governor Hope Uzodimma. But Governor Hope Uzodimma must ensure that after his tenure, the next Governor will not thwart the process as it happened in previous administration in the state. The land along Okigwe Road is not enough, the Governor should be ready to create phase ll. “
” The only way to inject credibility in Imo State Diaspora Estate is to allow transparency in all the process. Today real estate is gold, so people should have confidence to invest such huge amount without fear.”
