DR. EMMANUEL OGUERI’S INAUGURATION AS IMSUTH CHAIRMAN: ROUND PEG IN ROUND HOLE

  Dr. Emmanuel Ogueri, a reputable professional Medical Doctor, based in Canada, was on Friday, January 7th, 2025, inaugurated as the Chairman of the Governing Board of the Imo State University Teaching Hospital (IMSUTH), Umuna, Orlu.

   He was inaugurated along with other members of the Board at the Sam Mbakwe EXCO Chambers, Government House, Owerri, by the Imo State Governor Senator Hope Odidika Uzodimma (Onwa Oyoko).

  Many have described Dr. Ogueri’s appointment as the Chairman of the Board of IMSUTH as placing a round peg in a round hole, going by the manner he brings professionalism to bear on his medical practices. He has been in practice for a long time and he has had numerous laurels arising from his manner of professional services. He is very meticulous, even as he applies caution in undertaking his professional duties.

  Ogueri has been a long standing medical expert in Canada where he has been based and it is believed that he will use his professional Medical expertise knowledge to take IMSUTH to greater heights.

  There is no doubt that IMSUTH will from henceforth begin to breath fresh air of professionalism, which definitely will mark the Institution out as one of the best universally. He is going to bring activities in the Institution to come at par with world best practices.

  With the state-of-the-art equipment in IMSUTH, one of which is the ultra-modern oxygen machine recently ordered by the 3R Shared Prosperity Government of His Excellency Senator Dr. Hope Odidika Uzodimma CON, and installed therein, Dr. Ogueri’s duty is now made easy, as he certainly has to fly on unhindered.

  One thing that will certainly go well for him is that Dr. Ogueri is a well known disciplinarian. With the right discipline and meticulously led down rules and regulations, the place will be set for him to put it in the proper shape he would want it to be, thereby making it the pride of its parent institution, Imo State University (IMSU), Owerri, Imo State and Nigeria in general.

  Dr. Ogueri’s stint into politics was well reckoned with. He at one time contested the Senatorial Seat of Imo North (Okigwe) Senatorial District, Imo State. He made fantastic showing during the contest, though he could not pull through. He has since played strong loyalty to the Governor and his party, the All Progressives Congress (APC), in Imo State.

  It is, therefore, not surprising that he was offered the plum job by the Shared Prosperity 3R Governor of Imo State His Excellency Senator Dr. Hope Odidika Uzodimma (Onwa Oyoko), who usually rewards outstanding loyalty with commensurate positions in his Government.

  On this pedestal, Dr. Emmanuel Ogueri is now set to take to enviable political positioning in Imo State. I wish him success in his new position, as I pray Almighty God to guide and guard him in the discharge of his duties.
