Uzodimma’s Reelection: lawmakers justify Charter of Equity – Arodiogbu

By Eleugu  Mgbemgasa
The APC South East Vice National Chairman, Dr. Ijeomah Arodiogbu, has disclosed that the adoption of the APC guber candidate in Imo State, Governor Hope Uzodimma, for second tenure in office, was politically correct.
He stated that the holistic endorsement on reelection of  Uzodimma by the 10th Imo Assembly Members was a right step in the right direction, saying the decision had justified the Charter of Equity reached recently by Imo Council of Elders.
The Charter of Equity was adopted by Imo Elders Council for smooth and peaceful rotation of key political offices among the 3 Senatorial Zones of the state. Among the offices are Governorship, Deputy Governorship and Speakership of the House of Assembly.
Arodiogbu who spoke in Owerri on Friday said the adoption for Uzodimma’s reelection by Imo lawmakers was deserving given that the Governor has achieved wonderful projects, policies which he attested are engendering social development, economic prosperity, peace and security in the state
He enumerated that the Governor has “built roads in Owerri, Okigwe and Orlu Senatorial Districts comprising Federal Highways, the Upgrade of FMC Owerri to University Teaching Hospital Owerri, Alvan Ikoku Federal College of Education to Federal University of Education Owerri, the Dredging of Oguta/Orashi River to link Atlantic Ocean, Youth Skills Empowerment through SkillupImo Program, Recruitment of Ten Thousand Teachers, Refurbishment of Imo Assembly Complex, his intervention in the impasse between Igbo traders and Lagos State Government, Rehabilitation, Equipment of Healthcare Centers (Hospitals) among other numerous projects and programs which are encouraging productivity, trade and commercial activities, peace and respite in the state”.
While hailing Imo Assembly Members for endorsing the Governor’s second term bid, the APC South East National Vice Chairman, reiterated that “the move had justified, solidified the Charter of Equity reached by Imo Elders Council on rotation of important political offices in the state for enhanced peace and political stability in the state”.
Arodiogbu therefore called on other good spirited Imolites to continue to give consent to the reelection of Senator Governor Hope Uzodimma for continued good governance and democracy dividends.
