IMHA 2023: DECLARE APC WINNER OF AHIAZU POLLS  -ACCORD PARTY

By Iheanyi Enwerem
Accord Party State Assembly candidate for Ahiazu Mbaise constituency in Imo State, Bruno Onuoha has called on the Independent National Electoral Commission,INEC to declare APC candidate Samuel Otuibe as the winner of the March 18th polls.
In a media interface held on Thursday in  Owerri, the Accord Party candidate stated that Otuibe having secured lead in results obtainable in INEC I-REV portal should be declared as the winner of the polls adding that he has reviewed the duplicate copies of the polling unit results including that of his party agents and it shows that APC won the State Assembly election.
“It is beyond my understanding therefore why the electoral officer decided to stall the declaration of the winner from the collated and uploaded results. Thereby creating unnecessary tension in the area.
I urge the Resident Electoral Commissioner to immediately declare the winner from the collated and uploaded election results on the INEC I-REV”. Said Onuoha
He noted that the Ahiazu Mbaise State Assembly election was free and fair, and commended INEC for their dedication and resilience, while urging the electoral body boss in the State to question the declaration of inconclusive State House polls by the  Electoral Officer for Ahiazu Mbaise LGA Uche Asagwara.
It will be recalled that as at the time the March 18th State Assembly election for Ahiazu Mbaise constituency was declared inconclusive by the electoral body, the APC candidate Samuel Otuibe was leading with 5,234 votes while his closest rival of the PDP Rex Okoro has 4,423 votes.
