Embrace Sociopolitical Equality, DNKI Tells Nigerian Women

By Anyi Lemchi
Nigerian Women have been charged to put more efforts towards embracing full sociopolitical equality in the Country.
The International President of DeNorsemen Kclub International, Engr Chidi Anokwu who gave the charge in his good will message to mark this year’s International Women’s Day Celebration, pointed out that Nigerian Women are yet to fully embrace Sociopolitical Equality in Nigeria, adding that Nigeria sociopolitical space is still dominated by the menfolk unlike in the western World.
Engr Anokwu who also urged Nigerian Women to reflect on this year’s Theme ,  “Embracing Equality” however reminded the Women on the need to increase their efforts towards achieving acceptable standard in the Sociopolitical space of Nigeria for the welfare and betterment of Nigeria Society.
He argued that most of the sociopolitical challenges Nigeria is facing presently can be attributed to the near absence of Women in Nigeria Sociopolitical space, stressing that if Nigeria Women are given the required support and encouragement in Nigeria Sociopolitical space, things will definitely turn out better.
Engr Anokwu further used the opportunity to call on the Nigeria National Assembly to enact laws that will  encourage, support and protect Women’s Sociopolitical Equality in Nigeria and urged the Women to   reflect on  political, economic and social equality among others issues in Nigeria.
According to him, ” Today, being March 8th, Women all over the World will be marking their day, a day set aside to discuss the contributions of Women to the development of our  society, a day set aside to look at the challenges facing the Women in our society, a day set aside to celebrate Women for their dedication and love for a better Society.
DeNorsemen Kclub International is joining other well meaning organizations to celebrate our dear lovely mothers, Sisters, wives. DNKI strongly believe that this year’s International Women’s Day calls for deep sober reflections on the little presence and participation of our women in Nigeria Sociopolitical space. The statistics is worrisome and should be look into with immediate Effects.”
” DNKI as a responsible Corporate Organization in Nigeria and all over the World is appealing to the Nigeria Women to step up action towards achieving more  reasonable positions in Nigeria Sociopolitical space for the well being of the Society. Our women deserve equal space in Nigeria Sociopolitical system and their sociopolitical aspirations should go beyond Woman leaders in sociopolitical Organizations.”
