The Man Who The Cap Fits, Eze Evans”.
They also carried Green Leaves, as well as chanted solidarity songs as they matched  peacefully on the streets of Akabo.
Speaking, the President- General of Akabo Town Union, Sir Howells Ahamefula, said the people came together and unanimously chose HRM, Eze Barr. Evans Olileanyachukwu Obiukwu Njoku-Nwansi IV as their King because he is the choice of the people, as well as having the quality and capacity to rule the community.
Ahamefula, who noted that the selection of Eze Evans Olileanyachukwu as the Eze of the area was in line with the Hereditary Pattern of Ezeship Stool of Akabo Paramount Kingdom, reflecting that the people followed a legitimate and transparant process in choosing the Eze who he said was officially recognized by the State Government as Staff of Office and Certificate of Recognition were  presented to him.
The PG who urged the public to continue to ignore any person or persons opposing the Ezeship of Eze Evans Olileanyachukwu, warned that any attempt by any body “to truncate the choice of the people will be resisted forthwith by the people who repose much confidence in the rulership of Eze Evans Olileanyachukwu”.
Ahamefula called on all “stakeholders to respect our community’s autonomy and to refrain from any action that may run counter to the tenet of our traditional institution. We urge all stakeholders to recognize and respect the choice of Akabo and work with us to promote peace, stability and development in our community”.
Describing Eze Evans Olileanyachukwu as a pragmatic ruler who is loved and cherished by the people, Akabo Town Union Secretary-General, Chief Jerry Opara, High Chief George Opara (Palace Secretary), Acting Traditional Prime Minister (TPM), Chief Boniface Ofoegbu, PRO of AkaboTraditional Council, Chief Onyenekwucha Chris (Tripplecee), Youth President, Okechukwu Louis Onyenekwucha and Secretary, Women Wing, Mrs. Tochi Obinna Amadi, affirmed that the choice and decision of Eze Olileanyachukwu as their traditional ruler stands.
“Akabo community is deeply committed to our  traditional ruler and our determination to protect and preserve our cultural heritage. We stand in unwavering solidarity with him against the unwarranted challenge to his office by a handful of persons who in the disguise of being descendants of Njoku-Nwansi are attempting to cause unrest in the community.
“We recognize and assert that Eze Evans Olileanyachukwu Obiukwu Njoku-Nwansi lV is the de facto heir to the throne and the popular choice of the people – and that his emergence as our traditional ruler was through a legitimate and transparent process that reflects the will of the community.
“Akabo Ezeship Stool is not and has never been for sale and there is no vacancy there. We are averse to any unwarranted challenge to the dynastic throne as it would amount to testing the people’s will”, they stressed.
The indigenes advised the opponents to allow the Ezeship Stool of Akabo hereditary tenet to prevail by withdrawing the matter from court, praying to God to always sustain and imbue Eze Evans Olileanyachukwu with more knowledge as he rules the community, thanking Governor Hope Uzodimma for issuing the Staff of Office and the Certificate of Recognition to the Eze who they asked to keep on working for the good and progress of the people who cherish him dearly.
