The timely payment of salaries and pensions has also boosted the morale and job satisfaction of Abia workers, leading to increased productivity and efficiency in the civil service.

By eliminating nepotism and clannishness introduced by past administrations, Governor Otti has motivated Abia workers to give their best, contributing to efficiency and productivity in the civil service. This agreement ensures fair salary adjustments for all workers, addressing discrepancies that affected civil servants between levels 8 to 17. Anchored by the Chief of Staff to the Governor, Pastor Caleb Ajagba, Ph.D, and other top functionaries of the Government, the signing of this agreement is a testament to Governor Otti’s commitment to the welfare of Abia workers, demonstrating his administration’s willingness to listen to labour unions and address their concerns. The agreement has also brought relief to Abia workers, who had been seeking fair salary adjustments.
