We Train The Girl Child To Be Responsible Citizens – Nigerian Girl Guides

The National Training Commissioner, Nigerian Girl Guides, Dr Helen Obi has said that the organization, which is the oldest female organization specializes in training the girl child to be responsible citizens.
Dr Obi who stated this during the zonal conference of the association held in Owerri, the Imo State capital, explained that association teaches the girl child according to the things that are trending in the world.
According to her, “this is an association whereby we train the girl child, assist them, empower them to develop their potentials so that they can become responsible citizens of this world and Nigeria, responsible in their families and communities. We mentor them and bring them up according to things that are trending and we educate them about their rights.”
She added that the organization embarks on regular advocates and trainings at the national, zonal and state levels all in a bid to teach and empower the girl child with relevant skills.
Obi commended Imo State Commissioner for hosting the zonal conference, which she described as a success whilst praying God to bless their efforts in all they do to assist the girl child grow to become responsible citizens.
The Imo State Commissioner, Nigerian Girl Guides, Lady Stella Eke had earlier welcomed her guests to the occasion and affirmed the organization’s readiness to achieve a society that empowers the girl child to have confidence in herself and build her self-esteem.
