The Executive Chairman of Nwangele Local Government Area, Hon. Chief Paul Chijioke Duru  on 17th April, 2025 presented 2025 Budget proposals to Nwangele Local Government Legislative Council amidst commendations from the entire Nwangele people.
The Budget titled, “Integrated Grassroots Development”, is expected to achieve a realistic gap reduction between projections and actuals, adding that the budget is geared to ensuring sustainable and accelerated Integrated Grassroots Development leading to improved security, economic growth, a productive civil service, enhanced and inclusive governance and overall well being of Nwangele people.
Hon. Duru while presenting the budget, pointed out that the 2025 budget proposals is specific and captures the details of income and expenditure on the proposed projects, programmes and actions of his administration aimed at bringing development to the Grassroots in a coordinated, integrated and sustainable manner, noting that it is aligned to the 3R mantra of Governor Hope Uzodinma.
According to him, ” As elected servants, we are aware that it is our statutory mandate to secure our local Government Area, deliver qualitative, efficient and effective public services in Healthcare, education, agriculture, Sanitation and hygiene in the economy and in peace building.”
Hon Paul Duru maintained that from inception of his first one hundred days in office, his administration has taken deliberate steps to restore the confidence of Nwangele people in LGA governance, stressing that his administration has engaged massive road maintenance and reconstruction of many vital projects in Area.
He however argued that the immediate passage and implementation of the 2025 budget proposals will further enable his administration to continue on the trajectory of responsible and responsive governance in Nwangele LGA, as his administration is in a hurry to transform Nwangele LGA into a model modern Council in Nigeria.
According to Hon Paul Duru, ” The budget proposals will stimulate our rural economy, provide security, contribute to human capital development, enhance Youth and women empowerment, bring peace and social progress and generally enhance the well being of our people in a Shared Prosperity manner.”
The 2025  integrated Grassroots Development Budget as presented by Hon Paul Duru with a total of #8,227,799,455 estimated Recurrent Revenue and a total of #3,027,058,736 estimated Recurrent expenditure was commended by Nwangele Legislative Council, Town Unions leadership, Traditional Rulers and Stakeholders from Nwangele LGA were all present during the budget presentation.
