Hezekiah University, Umudi Nkwerre Imo State Holds Maiden Convocation Ceremony

   All is now set for the maiden Convocation ceremony of the University of the moment, Hezekiah University, Umudi, Nkwerre, Imo State.

   According to a release by the Public Relation Officer of the Institution, Venerable Innocent Osuoha, the epoch making event commences with Pre- Convocation activities on the 5th of March, 2025, when the entire  University atmosphere will be literally electrified with the Alumni induction and Seminar for the Students.

  On the 6th, there will be a novelty match between the graduates and undergraduates alongside other activities which are all preparatory to the convocation.

   On the 7th March, 2025, proper, there will be a convocation lecture by 11.00am at the University’s Academic complex.

    The Guest Speaker Professor Aloysius-Micheals Okolie, Vice-Chancellor, Enugu State University of Science and Technology, will speak on “Paradigm Shift, Soliloquy and Fungibility of Stemming the tide of Education Lullaby in Tertiary Education in Nigeria: Opportunities Missed and Paths Not Taken”.

   On the 8th March, 2025, there will be award of First Degree and Conferrement of Honorary Degree amongst other programmes lined up for the day.

  His Excellency, the Imo State Governor, Distinguished Senator Hope Uzodinma is the Special Guest of Honour alongside other invited guests.

   Not long ago, the  Convocation Central Planning Committee had taken a tour of the University with a view to ascertaining the state of preparedness.

   In an interview, the Acting Vice-Chancellor, Professor Anthony Okere had expressed his appreciation to the Promoter of the University, His Grace, the Most Rev Professor Daddy Hezekiah, OON, for his fatherly efforts in providing all the needs of the University especially as they concern the maiden Convocation.w
