MEDIA PROFESSIONALS STORM LAGOS FOR NUJ MEDIA ICONS

 

All is now set for this year’s edition of the Nigeria Union of Journalists’s Milestone Recognition of Media Icons in Nigeria.
 Media Professionals across Nigeria have begun to gather in Lagos for the celebration taking place tomorrow Thursday 7th December, 2023 at Airport Hotel, Ikeja
The much anticipated event by members of the “Forth Estate of the Realm” celebrates personalities that have contributed immensely to the growth,  development and sustainance of Journalism in Nigeria.
Recipients of this year’s Milestone Recognition of Media Icons include Mr Ray Ekpu, Dr.Danladi Bako, High Chief Tony Akiotu, Mrs Dupe Ajayi-Gbadebo, Mallam Baba Dantiye, Alhaji Najeem Jimoh, Prof Stella Okunna, Prince Henry Odukomaiya and Prof. Ralph Akinfeleye.
Others are: Prof Femi Adefela, Chief Emeka Izeze, Aremo Taiwo Alimi, Senator Chris Anyanwu, Dr.Grace Achums, Sir Folu Olamiti, and Mrs.Agbeke Ogunsanwo.
Governor Bala Mohammed  of Bauchi State will deliver a paper on the theme “The Place of  Icons and Role Models in National Development: The NUJ Milestone Awards in Perspective”
Dignitaries, Communication Scholars and political actors  are expected to turn out at the event in large numbers.
