Homosexual Decries Threat to Life, Banishment

By Anyi Lemchi
Self-confessed homosexual, who identified self as Okoro Chukwuemeka Anthony, has cried out over threat to his life and freedom by his kinsmen of Alulo Community that caught him on the sordid same sex act, prompting his summarily banishment from their clan.
Narrating his ordeal, the acclaimed homo stated inter alia: “My name is Mr Okoro Chukwuemeka Anthony, an adult and peaceful gay citizen. I have been carrying on with my love life without disturbance until Sunday of January 1, 2023 when I was caught making love with fellow homo at my Umuala Villa by kinsmen of Alulo Community, Orlu LGA, Imo State. I was subsequently handed over to the community vigilante. After much rough handling, I was taken to the Eze, the custodian of the community culture, who pronounced me guilty of profaning the land with the taboo of same sex practice. And thereafter banished. The vigilante were mandated to take me out of the community with stern warning never to be seen in the community thereafter else to be arrested and handed over to the Police if I dare to return; as 14 years imprisonment awaits me on conviction.
“Grappling with life in exile, I came across a group of youths agitating for Biafra restoration and was convinced to join in February. The group was coordinated in the locality by one Chief Emeka Obi whose residence served as our meeting place. Unfortunately at one of our meetings, a combined team of security agents invaded the place and there was shootings. I was lucky to have managed to escape in the stampede that ensued. I later find my way to Lagos and put up with a friend who afterwards introduced me to the Pastor of his Church: Fishers of Men Ministries (FMF) for counseling and prayers. I became a member of the Church and got devoted to its programmes. During the Church crusade in the month of March, I met with an influential member, named Bro Jude Ezinwanne, who, after getting to know my plight, decided to help me  leave Nigeria…
“As God would have it, by April ending, Bro Ezinwanne has succeeded in securing a visa for me with which to travel out of Nigeria”, Okoro C.A. submitted in a rather sad tone.
Asked what he intends to gain in opening up having left the country, Okoro C.A. interjected: “I was badly treated and my love partner was equally beaten, humiliated and we lost contact after the incident. It’ll be great to know whether he survived as I did.  “It’s rather very sad to allow some people to harm others in observing ancestral customs in 21st century. It’s against my right to life and freedom to banish me on the basis of love relationship. So, please use the media to educate my people and their likes to desist from tagging as taboo one’s right to choose how to live his/ her sex life… Again, I’m grateful to God for sparing my life and using some people to safe me from bondage of threats to life and freedom of association”.
