2023 Imo North Seat:  Plot To Stop Okewulonu Thickens  …some PDP members in secret meetings with Labour Party, APC candidates

By Ifeanyi Nwanguma
The People’s Democratic Party ( PDP)  Candidate for Imo North Senatorial District, Chief Emmanuel Okewulonu may suffer another electoral defeat come 2023 National Assembly election if the information available to Starpost Express Newspaper is true.
Investigations by Starpost Express Newspaper revealed that the internal crisis rocking his political Party in Okigwe Zone may have endangered his 2023  chances to win Okigwe Senate Seat.
The internal power play which started as a result of the outcome of PDP primaries in Okigwe Zone may likely have the party Senatorial candidate in the Zone, Chief Emmanuel Okewulonu as its first causality if nothing is done urgently.
According to PDP leader in Isiala LGA who strongly pleaded anonymity,  “PDP has no Senatorial candidate in Okigwe Zone, we will vote candidate of our choice come 2023. They used their wickedness to stop our choice candidates during the party primaries and we will also use our own wickedness to stop their own choice candidates during the general elections. Just mark my words. This shear wickedness must stop or PDP will continue to lose in Imo State and in Okigwe Zone.”
The aggrieved leader further noted that, “it is unfortunate that Chief Emmanuel Okewulonu allowed himself to be dragged into this face off and he will be the first casualty. He is a good man but those behind him are wicked, if we allow him to win, the wickedness will continue in Okigwe Zone. God forbid, he will not win.”
Further investigations by Starpost Express Newspaper also showed that some PDP leaders are caught in secret meetings with the Labour Party candidate, Ifeanyi Araraume Jr and All Progressives Congress APC candidate, Hon Patrick Ndubueze which may hinder the chances of Chief Emmanuel Okewulonu in the forthcoming Okigwe Senate election in 2023.
According to another aggrieved PDP leader in Ehime Mbano LGA who also pleaded anonymity, ” We won primaries election and they said PDP has no candidate, so let us see how their candidate will win and our own candidate will lose election. This arrogance and power play will continue at the detriments of some candidates.”
According to grapevine source, the show of power between supporters of Senator Samuel Anyanwu and Rt Hon Emeka Ihedioha may likely affect all the PDP candidates in Okigwe Zone as the groups are prepared to  work against each other in the forthcoming National Assembly election come 2023.
However, following the ravaging Obident Movement in Okigwe Zone, Labour Party may finally clinch all the elective positions in Okigwe Zone come 2023 as  Labour Party is aggressively making inroad in the zone’s grassroots.
