Consider The Future Of Nigerian Students DNKI Tells FG, ASUU

DeNorsemen Kclub International (DNKI) has appeal to the Federal Government of Nigeria and the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) to quickly resolve their differences in order to protect the future of Nigerian Students.

The International President of DNKI, Engr Chidi Anokwu who made the appeal in his speech while addressing members of the  Kclub in South West Geopolitical Zone during his three days working visit to Zone,  pointed out that the ongoing ASUU Strike may likely destroy Nigeria University system if Federal Government and ASUU fail to resolve the matter that led to the strike immediately.

Anokwu who noted that the prolonged face off between Federal Government and ASUU over staff salaries is not healthy, adding that the two groups should consider the future of students who are the immediate victims of the impasse.

He maintained that Nigeria as a Nation will continue to encounter leadership challenges if they continue to tamper with the University Educational system.

Engr Anokwu however charged members of DNKI in Nigeria to vote for unity, security and productivity, stressing that there is need to think beyond ethnicity and religion in 2023 general elections.

According to him, ” Brothers, Nigerians have suffered enough, the cost of  living of an average Nigerian is too high, so there is need to fix our economy. We must elect and support leaders with the required experience and exposure to fix Nigeria economy. The prolonged face off between Federal Government and ASUU reflect leadership failure from both parties.”

Engr Anokwu further urged DNKI members to work for a promising leadership especially anyone  that carries the aspirations of the youths.

“Please my brothers,  ensure you collect your PVCs and make sure you  vote freely for good  candidates who help in rebuilding Nigeria. DNKI will support and work for free, fair and credible elections come 2023 general elections. We must make sure to eschew vote buying and money politics.”
