Prof Ikonne and His Passion For a Greater Abia State

Prof. Eleazar Uchenna Ikonne, the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) Governorship candidate in Abia for 2023 general election, has got himself well approved to fast-track development in Abia State. Prof. Ikonne among the many persons vying for the seat, remains the only person with the basics of good leadership and governance.
Prof. Ikonne’s antecedent has made him to stand tall. His character and competence rubs off on his transparency, integrity, commitment, experience and participatory governance which are essential requirements to run a successful government.
Ikonne’s passion for a greater Abia has made him a vector quantity with magnitude and direction. With his economic master plan ‘TIGER ECONOMY’, he is committed to driving a revolution that will fastrack development in Abia State. His Tiger Economy will strengthen the economic policies made by the present administration and provide basic infrastructures and conducive environment for SMEs, Investment and Investors and a long term economic and infrastructural growth.
Applauding Gov. Okezie Ikpeazu effort by laying a solid foundation for him to work on when elected, his drive for infrastructural revolution which the state has not experienced before now, Prof. Ikonne, has promised to anchor his administration on participatory and inclusive governance.
According to Prof. Ikonne, “My dictum is participatory governance that will be all-embracing, to build strong institutions, not strong individuals, to empower, based on the evidence of work done and not monkey dey work Baboon de chop kind of governance. My journey to Abia State Government House, will be for the growth and development of our dear state.”
Finally, under Prof. Ikonne, Abians are going to witness a boost in Agriculture, Healthcare, Infrastructure, Security, SMEs development, Trade and Commerce, Youth empowerment and Inclusiveness. It will be a whole new climate change in Abia, a kind of revolution executed by taking drastic steps aimed at giving meaningful service to the people.
