EZE OKEKE LAUDS IWUANYANWU’S EMERGENCE …ASSURES OF SUPPORT FROM IMO TRADITIONAL RULERS

The Chairman of the Imo State Council of Traditional Rulers, HRM Eze Emmanuel Okeke has expressed confidence that the emergence of Chief Emmanuel Iwuanyanwu as the substantive President-General of the apex Igbo sociocultural organisation, Ohanaeze Ndigbo Worldwide, will help to stabilise Igbo land and bring about the required peace and political inclusiveness currently lacking in Igbo land.
The eminent traditional ruler who was among the cream of Igbo leaders to attend the Ime-obi meeting of Ohanaeze Ndigbo in Enugu on Sunday said that Chief Iwuanyanwu’s enviable reputation and antecedents in leadership and business stand him out as the most suitable man to lead Ohanaeze at this critical time in Igbo’s political history.
“Ahaejiejemba has the requisite experience and temperament required of the leader of Ndigbo at this time in our history and I do not have any doubts in his capacity to bring the required stability in Ohanaeze leadership and in alliance with the governors and other political leaders in the seven Ohanaeze States, ensure that Ndigbo are not marginalised in the scheme of things in Nigeria.”
He also assured of the support of the traditional rulers to the new President-General in order to ensure that his visions are well-received in the grassroots.
“As traditional rulers, we have a critical role to play in ensuring that the programs and ideas that are useful for Igbo revival and development are well publicised across the nooks and crannies of Igbo land and to mobilise support for such ideas. We shall support the leadership of Ohanaeze Ndigbo Worldwide like we have always done, to gain the confidence of our subjects across all villages and communities in Igbo speaking areas of Nigeria.”
