The Chief Principal Security Officer to Governor of Imo State, CSP Shaba Adamu Gboyako has lauded the Inspector-General of Police, IGP Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun for initiating the 45-week in-house refresher training for all personnel of the Nigeria Police Force.
He also applauded the state Police Commissioner, CP Aboki Danjuma for organizing the trainings and for his landmark achievements in ensuring a secured Imo.
CSP Shaba gave the praises at the Command’s headquarters in Owerri on Tuesday, shortly after delivering a lecture on “Opinion Evidence, Competence and Compellability” aimed at enhancing the personnel investigative and prosecuting expertise.
He also posited that deep knowledge of Evidence Act by the personnel especially the Investigators and prosecutors would boost quality service delivery and effective policing of the state.
Also speaking on the lecture, the Imo CP said, “this training is a directive of the Inspector General of Police, IGP Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun. In today’s training, we have selected our Investigators from all the divisions and area commands. And today’s topic is on evidence act.
“I am happy that the guest lecturer really did justice to it. He has told us what evidence act means and the knowledge gotten will assist the command especially our Investigators on how to do investigation and on how to give evidence in court.”
“After this trainings, Imolites should expect the best from us. We are going to make good use of all gained from the lectures or the trainings. And by His grace, Imo State will become the safest state in the nation.”
The Imo Police boss also reiterated the commitment of the command under his leadership to guarantee adequate security in the state, while urging the residents and citizens of the state to continually partner cum support efforts towards achieving a safer and secured Imo.
He said, “security propaganda we have in Imo State today is handiwork of mischief makers. From our achievements so far and the evidence on ground, you can see that Imo is very safe.
“We are urging everyone including those who want to come to Imo and invest that they should come and do so. Imo is safe and peaceful. I can tell you that the sit at home order is a thing of the past in Imo. There is peace in Imo State.”
